Can I Sell My Home During the Winter Months in Dacula and Hamilton Mill?

So how do you sell a home during the holidays? Here are five tips that I recommend to get the job done.

If I got paid a penny for every time I get asked, "Can I sell my home during the holidays in Hamilton Mill and Dacula?" I would have a few hundred dollars at this point. This is one of those questions I get often in real estate and as a Realtor, and my answer is always the same. Yes, you can and will sell your home during the holidays, but certain things need to happen in order to do it quickly and with minimal family interruptions.

So how do you sell a home during the holidays in and around Hamilton Mill and Dacula? Here are five tips that I recommend to get the job done.

1. Price the home properly. Look carefully at the available inventory and price the home just below the comparable homes on the market. During the holidays, there is less inventory and this may work in your benefit to get a higher price. Lower inventory equals higher demand for homes which could lead to higher asking prices.

2. Minimize the holiday decorations. No need to eliminate them but if you typically go "over the top" with your decorations, you might want to consider scaling back a bit. You want buyers looking at your home not the decorations.

3. Make sure the home is heated properly. Trying to save on monthly heating costs? Great, but when the home is going to be shown, turn the thermostat up to at least 70 degrees.

4. Make your home available to be shown. Buyers are few and far between during winter months and you need to make sure you do not miss a buyer opportunity. Go out of your way to get buyers in the home.

5. Did I mention pricing?

Hope this helps. If you or someone you know is looking to Buy, Sell or Invest in real estate, please give me a call.
