Is now the time to buy a home?
If there has not been enough encouraging data to emphasize that now is the best time to buy a home, this bit of news should really do the trick.
Rental rates are on the rise again for the third year in a row. If you are currently renting a home or an apartment, do you really want to throw that money away and pay off someone else's mortgage?
"You could see 10 years of a strong apartment market," says Ronald Johnsey, president of apartment market researcher Axiometrics.

Apartment rents are expected to jump 5.5 percent in 2012. MPF Research sees a 4.5 percent increase, while researcher Reis expects a 3 percent increase, although that forecast may change, says senior economist Ryan Severino. This is encouraging news to current landlords and a negative to those who are still renting these properties.
There has never been a better time to buy and the national housing index indicates that the nation has never seen a more affordable time to buy a home. Interest rates are still below 4 percent, market pricing is down and demand is growing.
