Alan P. Bangs, age 58, of Dacula passed away June 26, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest C. Bangs. He is survived by his wife, Beth; daughter, Katie Barrett and her husband, Mike, of Lawrenceville; son, Joshua Bangs of Dacula; mother, Margaret Bangs; sister, Clare Bangs; sister, Nancy Clegg.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Hebron Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Standard, Rev. Mac Palmer, and Rev. Kevin Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hebron Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 28 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, Ga. ( 770-277-4550). Linda Barnard, age 69, of Lawrenceville passed away June 26, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John H. Barnard; son, Tom Barnard and wife, Marsha, of Dacula; son, Johnny Barnard and wife, Holly, of Hoschton; daughter, Christi Barnard and partner, Michelle, of Oakwood; sister, Barbara Ann May and husband, Hugh, of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Sumner Barnard, Cooper Barnard, Hannah Barnard, and Amelia Barnard; sisters-in-law, Diane Barnard of Trenton, Ga. and Rookie Tiller of Cleveland, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Dicky and Diane May, Vann Farrell, Michael and Melissa May, Megan and Will Farrell and Shannon and Kelly Barnard.

Linda worked for the Gwinnett County Board of Education for 29 years and was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Prospect United Methodist Church with Rev. Grady Mosley and Rev. Eddie Herring officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel. Flowers will be accepted, or those who wish may make donations in Linda's memory to Prospect United Methodist Church "Footprints for the Future," 1539 Prospect Rd., Lawrenceville, Ga. 30043.
