Armed Robber to Store Clerk: 'Nothing Personal Man'

Police say the suspect fled the QuikTrip on Hamilton Mill Parkway in Dacula with about $30 cash, but left behind a hair comb.

An early morning armed robbery July 7 at QuikTrip, 2460 Hamilton Mill Parkway, may be linked to similar crimes at QT stores in other metro Atlanta counties.

Gwinnett County Police were dispatched to the scene just before 1:30 a.m., where they found the 20-year-old store clerk lying on the floor "trying to process what just happened," according to an incident report.

The clerk told them a man carrying a drink approached the register, stated,"Nothing personal man," and pointed a black handgun at him.

As the clerk backed up a few steps,  the robber gestured toward the register, hid the gun under his shirt and snatched about $25-30 in cash. He then fled through the front door, but no one saw whether he got into a vehicle.

In his hurried state, the suspect dropped a hair comb near the register that police took into evidence.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black man is his late twenties, about 5'8" tall and 170-180 pounds with a clean-shaven, round face.  He was dressed in all black and wore a black do-rag.

Video surveillance shows the suspect entering the store at 1:20 a.m., immediately heading to the restroom, then stopping to pick up a drink before the crime occurred.

The store supervisor told police that she believes the suspect may be the same person responsible for robberies of QuikTrip stores in Douglas and Cobb counties.
