21st Birthday Party Ends with Bite Marks, Jail Time

It wasn't a happy birthday after all.

An alcohol-filled celebration of a Bethlehem woman’s 21st birthday ended with bite marks and jail time.

According to a Barrow County Sheriff’s Office incident report, deputies were dispatched around midnight on Jan. 30 to an Auburn residence on a domestic dispute call. The boyfriend of the birthday reveler told the dispatcher the woman had bitten him and was being restrained.

The boyfriend told the reporting deputy they had been out celebrating her birthday and continued drinking at home afterward.

He said his girlfriend became intoxicated and went to the bathroom. When he went to check on her,  “she became combative and began swinging at him and bit him on the chin,” the incident report read.

The boyfriend said he didn’t know what provoked the attack, but that she was talking nonsense. A friend of the man who witnessed what happened told the deputy the woman had become drunk and angry, and that he, too, was bitten in the altercation. No marks were found on him, however.

The woman admitted to biting her boyfriend because he was talking about her ex-boyfriends and “about another woman’s breast,” the report stated. The deputy noted the woman had obviously been drinking.

After the woman was taken to the county detention center, the boyfriend told another deputy that he also was bitten on the lower and upper back, also leaving marks.

She was charged with battery.
