Brazen Thieves Steal Equipment off Landscaping Truck

Incident occurred in the Hamilton Mill Village shopping center while landscaping employees were having lunch.

Two brazen thieves escaped with approximately $1,000 worth of equipment during a Nov. 5 midday theft in the parking lot of the Hamilton Mill Village shopping center.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Report, two employees of a landscaping company parked their truck and were having lunch at Subway when the incident took place. As the men were walking back to their truck, a woman approached them and advised that she had seen two males in a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee park beside the landscaping truck. As the woman watched, the two males jumped out of the Jeep, ran to the landscaping truck and grabbed some items. The woman said the two men threw the items in the Jeep and then sped out of the parking lot.

The woman described the suspects as “thin white males,” both of whom were wearing ball caps, long pants and t-shirts at the time of the theft. The woman was able to provide police with a partial tag number of the suspects’ vehicle.
