UPDATED: Buford Man Killed in Hit and Run Accident

Incident occurred early Thursday morning on Buford Drive near Satellite Boulevard.

Gwinnett County Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the person responsible for the death of a 61-year-old Buford man.

According to police, Edward T. Harley was struck and killed at approximately 2 a.m. Thursday morning on Buford Drive near Satellite Boulevard. According to police, the vehicle that struck Harley did not stop after the accident and continued towards Buford turning right on to South Lee Street.

Investigators with the Gwinnett County Police Accident Investigation Unit (A.I.U.) are searching for a vehicle with a shattered driver's side window and plastic missing from the driver's side headlight cover. Police believe the suspect vehicle is a 1999 to 2002 Saab 93 convertible or hatchback. The vehicle may be a 2-door or a 4-door model.
