Car Broken Into at Skatepark

Early afternoon incident occurred while victim was a short distance away watching her grandsons.

A woman visiting from North Dakota was the victim of a June 23 car break-in at .

The victim, who had driven her daughter’s vehicle to the skatepark, was watching her grandsons when she noticed a white Chrysler SUV park next to the vehicle. The victim said she did not see anyone exit the Chrysler. According to the victim, the Chrysler was only parked alongside her daughter’s car for a few minutes.

When the victim and her grandsons returned to the vehicle at approximately 1:25 p.m., the victim noticed the driver’s side rear passenger window had been smashed. The victim’s purse was missing as was an iPod and wallet belonging to one of her grandsons.

The victim advised she had left her purse on the front passenger seat of the vehicle. The purse contained $400 and various credit cards. The case is listed as active.
