Car Windows Smashed in Gold’s Gym Parking Lot

Purses, iPhone reported stolen.

A recent workout proved costly for several individuals after thieves stole purses and other valuables out of vehicles parked at on Auburn Road.

On April 11, three individuals returned to their vehicles after working out and discovered thieves had smashed car windows in order to gain access to the interior of the vehicles. The three incidents occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Each of the victims had left their purses inside their vehicle while inside the gym.

One victim reported the theft of a Chanel purse valued at $2,250, a Chanel wallet with an estimated value of $1,400 and a Chanel makeup bag valued at $1,600. The victim also said a pair of gold hoop earrings valued at $350 had been stolen.

Another victim reported the theft of a Juicy Couture purse with an estimated value of $500 and an iPhone 4. The victim was able to provide police with a serial number for the stolen phone.

A witness reported seeing two men inside one of the vehicles. According to the witness, another suspect driving a white, newer minivan with a “squared off” tailgate was following the two men through the parking lot. The witness described the two men she saw in the vehicle as black males in their mid to late teens. The witness said she also saw the males around several other vehicles.
