Report: Councilman Used City Credit Card to Rent Car for Pizza Delivery Job

Greg Reeves, who posted bond Sunday, is accused of theft for using city credit card for $3,600 in personal expenses.

Greg Reeves, the Dacula councilman charged with using a city credit card for personal purchases, spent 57 hours in jail over the weekend.

Reeves, 43, posted a $11,200 bond on Sunday, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post, and as of Monday afternoon was still a member of city council.

Reeves faces felony theft charges for using the credit card on around $3,600 worth of personal expenses, including on a rental car he used for a pizza-delivery job. Dacula Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks told the paper, Monday afternoon, “He’s an elected official right at this moment.”

On Saturday, WXIA-TV interviewed Wilbanks, who said he was aware of the problem and was trying to get Reeves to pay for the expenses.
