Dacula Gas Station Owner Arrested on Gambling Charges

Shoukatali Hussaini, who owns a Chevron in Dacula, is accused of keeping a place for gambling.

A Lawrenceville man who owns a Chevron gas station in Dacula was arrested last month in connection to running a place for gambling.

Shoukatali Hussaini, 53, is being charged with commercial gambling, keeping a place of gambling and possession of gambling devices. Co-owner Zainab Hussaini, also 53, has arrest warrants for the same charges but was not listed as arrested in the Gwinnett County Police report or the department's docket book.

At about 1 p.m. Feb. 22, investigators with the Gwinnett Vice Unit conducted a search warrant at the Chevron gas station located at 1955 Gravel Springs Road. Upon completing the investigation, Shoukatali Hussaini was arrested and transported to the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
