Dacula Man Charged With Selling Counterfeit CDs

Arrest stems from six-month long investigation.

A Dacula man was arrested March 6 on charges of selling illegally reproduced CDs and DVDs.

Gwinnett County Jail records show David Reed Kirk, of 3960 Jim Moore Road in Dacula, was booked into the jail yesterday morning and charged with four counts related to the reproduction of recorded material. He was released late Tuesday on a $44,800 bond.

According to Channel 2 news, Gwinnett County Police have been investigating two Gwinnett County CD Warehouse locations for the past six months regarding possible counterfeiting of concert recordings.

Kirk, the owner of the Duluth CD Warehouse location, was arrested after police raided the store and found thousands of items of fake merchandise, Channel 2 reported.
