Dacula Teen Says She Was Drugged, 'Kind of' Raped After Sneaking out of House

The high school student said she later passed out at a friend's house.

A late night encounter with a person she thought was a friend ended up in what a Dacula teen described as rape.

The 17-year-old high school student told authorities she snuck out of her house shortly after 1 a.m. on Aug. 28 to meet with a male friend who had texted her earlier asking if she wanted to "hang out." The teen walked a few houses down to where her male friend was waiting in his car. The two then drove to a nearby cul-de-sac.

Once parked, the male allegedly began smoking a marijuana cigarette and then handed it to the teen. The teen said she had never smoked marijuana before, but took "about three puffs" of the joint. A few minutes after taking the puffs, the teen reportedly lost consciousness.

"She said she woke up to find [the male] on top of her," the officer wrote in the report.

The teen lost consciousness again and later awoke to find the male still on top of her.

"She said she asked him what he was doing and how long they had been there, but lost consciousness before he responded," the officer noted.

The third time the teen came to, she was "more aware" of her surroundings according to the police report. She realized the male was "actively having sex with her."

"She said she told [the male] to stop, but he kept going and did not respond," the officer wrote in the report. Shortly thereafter, the teen lost consciousness again. When she awoke, the car was parked closer to her home. She said she remembers the male called her "crazy" before she got dressed and exited the vehicle.

Seeing lights on at her house, the teen decided to go to a friend's house instead so that her parents would not know she had been out.

The next morning, the teen borrowed some clothes from her friend and went to school. The teen said she felt "out of sorts" all day as if she were still under the influence of marijuana. Her friends, the report stated, noticed her odd behavior and eventually convinced her to tell them, then a counselor what had happened. The counselor contacted the teen's parents who subsequently transported the girl to the hospital.

Upon questioning, the teen said she had known the male for over a year and had engaged in sexual intercourse with him previously. She admitted she intended to have sex with him the night she snuck out of her parents house.

"I asked her why she wanted him to stop having sex with her if her intent was to have sex with him and she said she was not sure if he had protection on and she did not want to get pregnant," the officer noted. "She said she 'wasn't feeling it'."

The officer then asked if the teen would've wanted the male to stop had she been sure he had been wearing protection and she reportedly said she did not know.

"I asked her if she felt like she had been raped and after a long pause she said 'kind of.' When I asked her what she meant, [the teen] said she felt like [the male] had raped her because she had told him to stop and he did not," the report stated.

The case was assigned to a detective from the special victims unit for further investigation.
