Driver Loses Consciousness, Crashes Vehicle

A single car accident on Braselton Highway resulted in the driver and passenger being transported to the hospital.

A medical issue is believed to have been responsible for a Monday afternoon accident that injured two people.

A 21-year-old woman said she was driving northbound on Braselton Highway near Huntington Hill Trace at approximately 11:30 a.m. when she lost consciousness. The vehicle began to swerve and her passenger grabbed the steering wheel in an attempt to bring the vehicle under control.

The 2009 Honda Civic left the roadway, went into a ditch and flipped striking a fire hydrant and a utility pole before coming to a stop. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
