GBI Completes Facial Reconstruction of Dismembered Man's Skull

Police are attempting to identify the man whose dismembered torso was found in 2009 and whose skull was found in a wooded area near the Mall of Georgia earlier this month.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man whose remains were found in two different locations in Buford.

Earlier this month, Gwinnett County Police Department homicide investigators and the Gwinnett County Medical Examiners Office determined that a set of  in early January match a dismembered torso found in July 2009.

An individual walking in a heavily wooded area off Brown Road on Jan. 5 found a human skull and scattered skeletal remains a few hundred yards off Brown Road between Sunny Hill Road and Morgan Road. The entire area is located off Gravel Springs Road, a short distance from the Mall of Georgia. The dismembered torso found in 2009 was discovered in an area off Woodward Mill Road near Satellite Boulevard, approximately five miles from where the skull was located.
