Fire Destroys Home on Harbins Road

No one injured, but three residents displaced.

A Dacula home was extensively damaged by fire early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the 1600 block of Harbins Road shortly after 3 a.m. Crews arrived at the home within five minutes of being dispatched, but the home was already entirely engulfed in flames according to the press release.

Acting public information officer Lt. Eric Eberly said the home is a total loss. The three residents of the home were away at the time of the fire.

“Firefighters did an excellent job of containing the fire to the building of origin with no damage to surrounding structures,” Eberly said in a released statement.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
