Gwinnett Man 'Couldn't Resist' Grabbing Woman's Buttocks While in Line at Starbucks

He was charged with sexual battery.

A Gwinnett County man is behind bars for allegedly groping a woman at a Roswell coffee shop.

Officers with the Roswell Police Department last week arrested Anthony Harris, 25, of Lawrenceville for allegedly grabbing a woman on the buttocks at Starbucks on Mansell Road at Highway 9.

According to WSB-TV, Harris allegedly grabbed the woman's backside on Saturday, June 7 while she waited in line to place her order.

The woman confronted Harris about the incident, and the man was thrown out of the store by management. She was able to provide a description of Harris, who police later found at a bus stop.

Roswell Police spokesperson Zachary Frommer told the news station the suspect, when confronted by officers with the allegations, told officers he "couldn't resist" grabbing the woman.

Harris, who Frommer also said was intoxicated when he was confronted by officers, has been charged with sexual battery and was booked into the Fulton County Jail on June 8 where he currently remains.

The weekend incident wasn't the suspect's first run-in with the law.

According to jail records, Harris was arrested by Sandy Springs police in 2013 for public indecency, but those charges were dismissed. Records also show Harris has been arrested by other metro Atlanta agencies on theft, shoplifting and criminal trespassing charges.
