Hamilton Mill Home Burglarized

Forcible entry made, but nothing taken.

A Hamilton Mill homeowner called police after discovering a thief or thieves had entered his home by forcing open a basement window.

According to the police report, several doors and closets were opened, but nothing appeared to be missing from the Coralberry Way home. The victim advised the incident occurred sometime between the evening of March 4 and the morning of March 5.

The officer noticed the latch of the basement window had been broken and the screen removed. The entire window had been removed from its casing.

The victim said she left her purse inside her vehicle while she watched a movie. When she returned to her car, she found the rear driver’s side window of her van had been smashed.Β  The victim checked the parking lot and the surrounding area in an attempt to locate her purse. She later found it behind . According to the victim, the contents were scattered on the ground.

The victim said the only item of value inside the purse was a $200 pair of Coach sunglasses. The victim found the sunglasses in the parking lot, but they had been destroyed.

  • Possession of less than one ounce of marijuana at the intersection of Hamilton Mill Road and I-85.

March 7

  • Motor vehicle theft near the intersection of Harbins Road and West Drowning Creek Road.
