Man Accuses Ex-Wife’s Boyfriend of Assault

Victim claims he was assaulted at ex-wife's Hamilton Mill home.

A Mississippi man contacted police after allegedly being grabbed and pushed by his ex-wife’s boyfriend.

The victim was at his ex-wife’s Hamilton Mill home to drop off his daughter. The victim said he was having a “friendly” conversation with the suspect when the man suddenly became enraged and grabbed the victim by the shirt collar. The victim said the act caused his shirt collar to tighten and restricted his ability to breathe.

According to the victim, he was able to free himself after he and the suspect began pushing each other. The victim told police the suspect made accusations regarding an alleged past theft and demanded the victim give his ex-wife $20.

The victim waited 10 hours before notifying authorities of the alleged assault. The reporting officer noted slight bruising on the victim’s chest, neck and jaw area which the victim said was the result of the attack.

The victim said he did not wish to press charges, but advised the officer he might change his mind later.
