Man Allegedly Punches Friend for 'Eyeballing' Him

Incident occurred after the two had exchanged words throughout an evening of drinking.

With friends like this, who needs enemies? A Dacula man claimed a longtime friend of his punched him in the head during an evening of drinking.

The Dacula man said as he went outside Dooley'sΒ to smoke a cigarette on the evening of Nov. 20, his friend walked up to him and punched him with a closed fist on the left side of his nose. The blow caused a small cut, but the Dacula man declined treatment telling the officer called to investigate that he just wanted to go home.

When questioned by the officer, the friend claimed the Dacula man had been "eyeballing" him and the two had "exchanged words throughout the night while both parties were drinking." The friend further claimed the Dacula man had pulled a knife, but the officer did not find a knife in the Dacula man's possession.

No one was arrested, but the "friend" was served a criminal trespass warning by the Dooley's manager and told not to return to the establishment.
