Man Charged in Connection With Death of a Dacula Woman Pleads No Contest

The 75-year-old Dacula woman died in a two-vehicle crash in Ohio in October 2012.

A New Plymouth, Ohio man will spend at least 30 days in jail after pleading no contest to a vehicular manslaughter charge brought in connection with the October 2012 death of a Dacula woman.

According to Athens Ohio Today, Jeffrey Bowers, 24, entered the no contest plea on April 16. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 60 days suspended and fined $750 with $500 suspended. Click here to read more about Bowers' sentencing.

Bertie Lee Foster, 75, died Oct. 12, 2012 after the minivan in which she was traveling struck a pickup truck driven by Bowers. Bowers was found to have illegally crossed into the minivan's path. A total of seven people were injured.
