A Gwinnett County man is facing multiple charges in connection with a Nov. 26 accident that killed a student.
Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said Zachary Morgan Holman, 16, and his sister Madison Holman, 11, were passengers in a 1998 Ford pickup truck being driven by Ralph Edward Whitmire Jr., 40, of Lawrenceville. According to Wright, Whitmire was traveling westbound on Bethany-Bowersville Road in Hart County at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Saturday when the vehicle left the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned. The vehicle came to rest upside down and all three occupants were ejected.
