Mill Creek Students Arrested for Fighting

Large crowd reportedly gathered at Cascade Falls subdivision to watch fight.

Two students were arrested at school Wednesday in connection with a Feb. 15 fight in the Cascade Falls subdivision in Buford.

Toby Guinn, 17, and Michael Holsombeck, 18, were taken into custody at Mill Creek High School on Feb. 16 and charged with one count each of affray.

According to the police report, the feud between the two teens stemmed from an incident two days earlier in which Guinn allegedly spit on a female student. Guinn told police Holsombeck said he would be “jumped” if he did not agree to meet at Cascade Falls subdivision.

Several residents contacted police after noticing the large crowd of students that gathered to watch the fight. Guinn and Holsombeck fled the scene before police arrived.

The fight was videotaped and uploaded to the Internet by an unknown person. A school resource officer obtained a copy of the footage and requested assistance from the .

An officer was dispatched to the school and, after reviewing the video, placed Guinn and Holsombeck under arrest. Both teens were booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center. Guinn and Holsombeck bonded out of jail late Wednesday evening.

Jorge Quintana, Director of Media Relations for Gwinnett County Public Schools, said the school system is not pursuing any disciplinary action against the two students since the incident occurred off campus and was not directly related to  school.
