Motorcyclist Killed in Accident

No other vehicles involved.

A Bethlehem man is dead after a March 22 accident on Mount Moriah Road near the Gwinnett County line.

Gwinnett County Police public information officer Cpl. Ed Ritter said 24-year-old Michael Sewell was traveling on Mount Moriah Road near Boulder Stone Way just before 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when his motorcycle left the roadway and went into a ditch. Sewell was ejected from the motorcycle after striking a culvert. No other vehicles were involved.

Sewell was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.

The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation, but speed and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors, Ritter said.
