Motorcyclist Killed in Accident on I-85
Cyclist killed after striking construction trailer parked alongside interstate.
A Norcross man was killed last week in an accident on I-85 near the Mall of Georgia exit.
Gwinnett County Police say John Bobbitt, 43, of Norcross was riding his motorcycle southbound on I-85 when he began swerving. According to witnesses, Bobbitt suddenly swerved to the right and left the roadway. Bobbitt was traveling on the paved shoulder when he struck a parked construction billboard trailer.
Upon striking the trailer, Bobbitt was ejected from the motorcycle. He died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
