Murder Suspect Surrenders to Police
Man wanted in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old Lawrenceville man is now in custody.
A man charged in connection with the shooting death of a Lawrenceville teen is now in custody.
According to Gwinnett County Police Department public information officer Cpl. Jake Smith, Brandon Prasad turned himself in at police headquarters on Nov. 16 without incident.
On Nov. 14, officers responded to 531 Simonton Ridge Trail in response to a report of a person shot. Police found 18-year-old Jose De Manuel Alfaro of Lawrenceville dead with two gunshot wounds to the chest.

As a result of their investigation, homicide investigators obtained a warrant for felony murder against Prasad. Prasad has also been charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime against a person and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
