Pizza Deliveryman’s Car Stolen, Later Abandoned in Unfinished Subdivision

Driver had left doors unlocked and key in the ignition.

A pizza deliveryman now has his wheels back after police recovered his vehicle just one day after it was reported stolen.

Police were called to on Jan. 27 after an employee’s vehicle was stolen. The pizza deliveryman said he parked his vehicle outside the back door of the restaurant with the door unlocked and the key in the ignition. Before going inside the store, the deliveryman noticed a male and a female walking behind the strip mall. The deliveryman went inside the store and when he tried to go back out, the door would not open. The deliveryman told police he heard his car being driven away from the store.

Publix employees working behind the strip mall saw a male driving away in the victim’s car with a female passenger. One of the employees said it appeared as if the male did not know how to drive a stick shift.
