Police Searching for Robbery Suspect

The robbery happened at a store in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett County Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a purse snatching.

On April 17, the suspect -- described as a black male in his early 30s, 6-foot tall and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds -- arrived at the Western Union store located at 3059 Lawrenceville Highway in a gray Chevrolet Impala as the female victim was leaving the store. According to police, the suspect exited his vehicle, snatched the purse from the woman's hands and then left the scene in the Impala.

The suspect's vehicle is a 2006-2012 gray Chevrolet Impala with an inoperative left brake light. The vehicle appeared to have a Peach Pass affixed to the windshield.
