Smash and Grab Thieves Strike at Harbins Park

Window smashed, purse stolen while victim was nearby.

Gwinnett County Police are investigating another smash and grab entering auto case in the Dacula area.

On Sept. 18, a Winder man was visiting with his family. The man said he and his family were at the playground when he heard a noise in the vicinity of his vehicle. The man did not investigate at the time.

Later, when he returned to the vehicle, he discovered the driver’s side window had been smashed and his wife’s purse had been stolen. No other items were taken. The purse contained credit cards, a bank card and check book.

The case is listed as active.

The incident is one of several similar incidents to take place in the Dacula area over the past few months.
