Suwanee Car Break-in May Be Related to Dacula Incident

The suspect vehicles in both cases are similar, according to police.

The recent theft of personal belongings from a vehicle in Suwanee is similar to one that occurred elsewhere recently in Gwinnett, according to police.

On Nov. 6, a person reported the theft of her purse from her vehicle in the parking lot of the Goddard School at 210 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Suwanee, according to the Gwinnett Police incident report.

The theft victim told police that she left her purse in plain view in the front passenger seat of her vehicle, which was unlocked, while she went inside the school. When she returned to her vehicle, her purse -- which contained her credit cards, drivers license and store keys from her job -- was missing.

A surveillance video from the school showed a small white car pulling into the parking spot next to the passenger side of the victim's vehicle.

The incident report noted that a similar incident happened a little while later at a Goddard School on Auburn Road in Dacula. In that case, the description of the suspect vehicle is consistent with that in the Suwanee case.

This information was obtained from Gwinnett Police. It does not indicate a conviction. Questions should be directed to suwanee@patch.com.
