Thief Smashes Car Window at Park After Spotting Coach Purse

The owner said she and a friend were walking in Little Mulberry Park when the incident occurred.

A purse left in a visible location inside a car resulted in a smashed window for a Dacula woman during a May 15 visit to Little Mulberry Park.

The woman told police she left her Coach purse in the back seat floorboard of her vehicle while she and a friend went for a walk on the Fence Road side of the park. After making one lap, the woman noticed her window had been smashed.

The woman and her friend said they saw a suspicious male sitting in a brown, older model Dodge caravan prior to the incident. According to the police report, other people in the park saw the male walking around near the woman's vehicle while talking on the phone prior to the incident.

The woman's purse contained identification, credit cards, movie tickets and cash.

The case is listed as active.
