As Zenon pulled the car forward, she said she felt a bump that she thought was the raised portion of the garage entrance. The child’s mother came to the garage door and asked Zenon where Lavalais was. At that point, Zenon realized Lavalais was not in the back seat. Zenon exited the car and found the child under the vehicle.

Zenon took Lavalais inside and asked a relative to call 911. Zenon and her mother subsequently decided they could get the child help faster if they drove toward Dacula. Police and emergency medical services personnel met Zenon, Zenon’s mother and Lavalais near the intersection of Fence Road and Gran Heritage Way in Dacula.
