Two Dacula Businesses Damaged by Fire

No one was injured in an afternoon fire that heavily damaged two Dacula businesses.

Firefighters were dispatched to Imagine Gift Shop and on Dacula Road shortly before 2 p.m. after one of the business owners reported a fire.

Crews arrived within minutes and found heavy smoke showing from the one-story duplex. According to Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services acting public information officer Lt. Eric Eberly, firefighters made immediate entry and found dense smoke and moderate fire conditions inside the building.

“Firefighters began a quick search for potential victims and deployed attack lines to combat the blaze,” Eberly said in a released statement.

The interiors of both businesses were extensively damaged. The fire also caused moderate damage to the outside of the building.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
