Two Dacula Men Arrested in Area Auto Theft, Break-Ins

Police charged the Dacula men and a suspected accomplice after finding them hidden in a subdivison's woods.

Three men, two from Dacula, were arrested in Buford's Deer Creek Trail subdivision early July 19 after residents reported suspicious activity.

According to a GCPD report, Police were notified by concerned residents of a black male wearing a white T-shirt and dark jeans walking up and down the streets at 3:50 a.m. Police responding to the call located a red Jeep Liberty parked on the wrong side of the road. This car was later identified as a stolen vehicle from the Dacula area.

The report says officers staked out the location and remained in the area of the subdivision, which led to the arrest of one of the suspects.

Shortly after the first arrest, officers received a call reporting a burglary inside a home in the neighborhood. The homeowners reported that someone had broken in the garage window and entered the house through an unlocked garage door. The homeowners reported that a Lenova dark blue 15 inch laptop and set of Toyota Tundra keys were stolen.

Another neighbor then told police that two black males were hiding in the woods. The officer found these individuals -- who, according to police reports, stated “Thank you officer for finding us, we were lost” -- and placed them under arrest.

Officers determined that the three men had entered the subdivision in the stolen red Jeep Liberty and entered a residence through a garage window to steal property. One of the men also admitted to breaking into a white Chrysler Town and Country, but no items were reported taken. All three men were searched at the time of arrest but no stolen items were found.

According to GCPD reports Rayshawn Emanuel, 20, of School House Run in Dacula; Ahmad Moore, 18, of Mapmaker Drive in Dacula; and Christian Siler, 19, of Addison Lane in Alpharetta were issued warrants for theft by taking motor vehicle, theft by receiving motor vehicle, entering motor vehicle, burglary, loitering and prowling.
