U.S. Marshal's Office Employee Victim of Car Break-in at Dacula Publix

Work identification and cell phone taken.

A June 11 car break-in at the netted a thief a cell phone and a U.S. Marshal's employee identification badge.

The victim called police after returning to her vehicle and discovering her glove box had been opened. The victim said she had failed to lock her vehicle before entering the store.

The cell phone and the victim's work identification were the only items taken.

The incident occurred just four days after a Comcast employee reported that his car had been broken into near the intersection of Hamilton Mill Parkway and Hillgrove Drive. The victim's vehicle was also left unlocked in that incident. The thief escaped with 60 pills of a narcotic painkiller.Β
