Wallet Stolen During Basketball Game at Park

Victim and witness provide police with suspect names and descriptions.

A 28-year-old Dacula man had his wallet stolen during a March 13 basketball game at .

The victim left his wallet on the ground near the basketball court fence. According to the victim, a man, whose name and description he gave police, took the wallet and left the scene. The suspect was accompanied by another male. The victim was able to provide police with that man’s name as well.

A witness corroborated the victim’s story and said the suspect picked up the wallet and ran from the basketball court area with the other male following. Another witness reported seeing the two men leave the park in a white vehicle.

The victim’s wallet contained $83 in cash, the victim’s license and a debit card.

In order to prevent theft of personal belongings while at a gym or park, police recommend leaving valuables at home if possible. If you must bring valuables to the park or gym, keep them with you at all times or place them in a secured locker. Do not leave keys, wallets, bags or other valuables unattended at any time.
