What to Do if You Think You Are Being Followed

There are several steps you can take to ensure your safety.

Last week, Dacula Patch reported on a disturbing incident in which a 16-year-old girl was allegedly followed home from school by a man armed with a handgun. The teen took steps to determine if she was being followed, but, according to the experts, there are additional measures you can take:

Call 911 if you believe you are being followed, advised Cpl. Jake Smith, public information officer for the Gwinnett County Police Department. "And try to be as descriptive as possible regarding the suspect and vehicle," he added.
