$25K Donation Will Build 'UnbeLeafable' Play Area at Little Mulberry Park

The playground will be named after Karina Miller.

A $25,000 donation from the Gwinnett Parks Foundation will help construct a new playground at Little Mulberry Park, the county announced Tuesday.

The playground will be called the Karina Miller UnbeLeafable Playground, after the namesake of the Karina Miller Nature Preserve already located inside the 800-acre park.

The funds were raised by the Foundation, a non-profit, all-volunteer group.

“The Gwinnett Parks Foundation is pleased to commemorate Karina Miller through this gift to Gwinnett County for the playground in her name at Little Mulberry Park, where she and her family ensured that the public could enjoy the natural beauty of that property now and for the future,” Foundation Chairman Mike Levengood said in a press release.

The county says the playground will be constructed in the third phase of the park’s development.
