Dacula City Council to Discuss Sunday Sales

SB 10 legislation allows cities to decide whether or not to allow the sale of alcohol in grocery stores and other retail locations on Sundays.

With the passage of during the recent session of the General Assembly, cities and municipalities now have the option of holding referendums to decide whether or not to permit Sunday sales of beer, wine and alcohol in grocery and liquor stores.

During its April 28 work session, the Dacula City Council will discuss the new legislation.

The council will also discuss the new Georgia Regional Transit Authority (GRTA) . This summer, GRTA expects to begin service from the lot to downtown Atlanta. Route 416 to downtown will offer five morning departure times and six return trips.

Other items on Thursday night’s agenda include updates on construction at Freeman Mill Road and Franklin Drive, the city’s tornado siren, and the Stanley Road/Winder Highway sewer extension.

The council meets at , located at 442 Harbins Road in Dacula. The work session is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
