Dacula Maintenance Building Bid, Zoning Case on Council Agenda

The Dacula City Council will meet Thursday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m.

The Dacula City Council is scheduled to vote Aug. 2 on a bid for phase two of the Dacula maintenance building. The city received nine bids, the lowest of which was $563,900 from Hamby Construction.

Also on Thursday night's agenda is a rezoning case for property on Pharr Avenue. The owner and applicant has requested the property be rezoned from O-I Office Institutional District to R-1200 Single-Family Residential District for use as a residential home.

  • Readopting the codified City of Dacula zoning resolution and development regulations.
  • Designating Jim Osborn as the city's open records custodian.
  • Designating a replacement for Kim Jones on the Dacula Planning and Zoning Board.
  • Appointing an election superintendent, assistant election superintendent, absentee ballot clerk and an assistant absentee ballot clerk in the event a receives enough signatures for a referendum to be held in November.

The council meets at , 442 Harbins Road. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
