Dacula's Request to Annex 75 Acres Gets OK from Gov. Deal

34 properties officially will be added to the city limits June 1.

The City of Dacula will get a little larger on June 1, 2014 — 75 acres larger, to be exact.

According to a post on the city’s website by Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks, the annexation was given the go-ahead on Friday, when Gov. Nathan Deal signed House Bill 999, which also easily passed in the House and Senate during the recent General Assembly.

The annexation becomes final on June 1.
