Early Voting Begins Monday for Dacula Municipal Elections

Two city council seats and two referendums will be on the ballot.

The early voting period begins Monday, Oct. 17, in the City of Dacula.

Registered voters will have the opportunity to select two city council members and vote on two referendums.

The council seats currently held by and will be filled during the election. Robinson is unopposed, but : political activist Vanessa Green and former Dacula councilman Hubert Wells.

In addition to the two council races, city residents will also decide whether to allow within the city limits. If passed by the voters, the package sales referendum will allow Sunday sales of alcohol in grocery and liquor stores between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. The other proposed alcohol-related referendum would allow restaurants within the Dacula city limits to sell liquor by the drink on Sundays between 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

In-person early voting will be held at , 442 Harbins Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each business day until Friday, Nov. 4. There will be no voting on Monday, Nov. 7. The Dacula municipal election will be held on Nov. 8. Voting will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. If a runoff election is required, it will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Early voting also begins Monday for Gwinnett County voters. The only item on the Nov. 8 ballot is the . Early voting will take place at the Gwinnett County Voter Registration and Elections Office, 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 200, in Lawrenceville.
