GCPD to Host Free Firearms Safety Seminar

Georgia carry and deadly force laws will be among the topics covered during the free event.

Interested in learning more about firearms and the laws governing their use? If so, make plans to attend a free firearms safety seminar on Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center (GJAC).

Gwinnett Police Academy personnel will cover topics including personal defense, types of weapons and their use, how to obtain a carry permit and Georgia carry and deadly force laws.

Registration is not required, but seating is limited. Do not bring firearms to the seminar. All attendees will pass through a checkpoint and will not be permitted to enter the building with weapons.

The event will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the GJAC auditorium located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville. For more information, please contact Cpl. J. Golliher at 678-226-7766.
