GCPL Recognized as Digital Pioneer

Library system honored for excellence and leadership in delivering digital media to the community.

The Gwinnett County Public Library was recently recognized for their achievements in delivering digital media to the community at OverDrive’s Digipalooza 2011 Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. The library was awarded the Digital Pioneer Award.

“Gwinnett County Public Library is proud to be the recipient of the Digital Pioneer Award,” said Gwinnett Public Library Executive Director Nancy Stanbery-Kellam in a released statement. “This accomplishment is the result of the great partnership enjoyed between the library and its customers.” 

OverDrive and GCPL partner to provide digital media to library customers. The partnership allows Gwinnett County Public Library cardholders to download eBooks, eAudiobooks, music and video using their library card number and PIN. These digital offerings can be accessed on personal computers, iPods, ebook readers, smartphones and supported tablets.
