Old Road Project Officially Abandoned

Traffic stick installation, new signage and road markings for alternative project were completed last week.

By a unanimous vote, the Dacula City Council formally abandoned a that was completed last week.

The project, which cost just over $3,100, included new signs, road markings and traffic sticks to deter motorists from driving the wrong way on Second Avenue. The project also included additional signage and road markings on Second Avenue near Dacula Road.

  • authorized Precision Planning to do design work for a sanitary sewer system from the Stanley Road pump station to Lakeside Drive. The project is expected to cost $24,350 and will be funded through SPLOST.
  • after meeting in executive session, authorized the city to fill a vacant maintenance worker position.
