Report: Dacula Council Approves Change in Credit Card Policy

Change made in light of a councilman's recent arrest for using a city credit care for personal expenses.

Dacula has made changes to its credit-card use policy in light of the arrest last month of a councilman who used a city-issued card for personal purchases.

Greg Reeves was arrested and charged with theft, accused of using a city credit card for $3,600 of his own expenses, including car rental for his job delivering pizza.

On Thursday, the City Council amended the policy, disallowing personal and non-city business expenses, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported. Alcohol and entertainment expenses are also not allowed.Β The newspaper reported that previously a verbal agreement was used by the city on credit-card use.
