Telephone Town Hall Planned to Discuss Balanced Budget Amendment

Rep. Rob Woodall hosting event on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Rep. Rob Woodall (R-GA-07) will host a telephone town hall meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 14 to discuss the balanced budget amendment.

In a statement issued Monday, Woodall said a balanced budget amendment would restore fiscal balance in Washington and grow the economy without increasing the size of government.

“A Balanced Budget Amendment demands that Congress clear the way for economic growth by reducing the burden of ruinous federal debt that is plaguing individual Americans, their families, and their businesses,” Woodall said.  “More “stimulus” -- the new word for deficit spending -- will not grow this economy.  America’s job creators do not need Washington in order to succeed; they need Washington to get out of the way and simply protect their freedom to succeed.”
