POLL: Is This the Sexiest Man Alive?
People Magazine has announced its choice for this year's "Sexiest Man Alive."
Maroon 5 frontman and "The Voice" celebrity judge Adam Levine has been named this year's "Sexiest Man Alive" by People Magazine.
Levine, 34, joins the company of other previous honorees including Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
During a Nov. 20 appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Levine joked, "A lot of people trivialize this sort of thing. They say it's shallow and think it's just a media stunt used to sell magazines and perpetuate the image of Hollywood being based on looks. And that's totally true, but I'm completely cool with that."
According to Contactmusic.com, Levine thanked his parents for being "incredibly sexy" too, "Ryan Gosling for turning this down constantly," and his predecessors "George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, George Clooney, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and George Clooney, of course."
Despite Levine's light-hearted take on the award, some are taking People Magazine's choice quite seriously.
"If scrawny body, giraffe-necked, 2-day stubble guys with hair growth creeping down their necks are 'in,' then yes, I can see why People chose this guy," one critic was quoted as saying by the New York Daily News.
