Dacula Area Teachers of the Year Announced

Selection as a Teacher of the Year is the first step in the district-wide search for the GCPS Teacher of the Year.

Several Dacula area teachers have been selected as Teacher of the Year for their individual schools.

Teachers chosen for this honor will compete for the title of the 2013 Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Teacher of the Year (TOTY).

“Being selected at the local level means that other individuals in the profession recognize the instructional expertise and communal value the local TOTY brings to their school,” said Nikki Mouton, Gwinnett’s executive director of staff development, in a released statement. “This is an opportunity to highlight the attention to excellence the entire school has as their TOTY represents the phenomenal instruction and professionalism taking place throughout their building.”
