Dacula High School Student Awarded 2013 STEM Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to a Gwinnett County Public Schools senior with plans to enroll full-time in an undergraduate course of study in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

A Dacula High School student was among the 15 Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students recently awarded a scholarship from the Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation Fund, Inc.

Dacula High School senior Steven Jeanfreau was awarded the 2013 STEM Scholarship. The STEM Scholarship provides $1,000 to GCPS graduating seniors with plans to enroll full-time in an undergraduate course of study in science,
technology, engineering, or mathematics. According to a GCPS press release, scholarship recipients "should have excelled in academics, demonstrated leadership, and performed service, including school and community activities, volunteerism, and work."

Other local scholarship winners include Brett Self of Archer High, the recipient of the 2013 King Memorial Mathematics Scholarship, and Katie Fitzgerald of Mountain View High, who received the 2013 United Ebony Society Robbie Susan Moore Scholarship.
